本部片藉由親子之間互動，表達出傳統觀念與現代同性婚姻的衝突，影片一開頭就明確看出母親對於宗教的迷信，以及根深蒂固的傳統思維，這些舉動間接影響女主角與同儕的發展，也造成女主角不敢表達自己的性向。
我們也加了現實生活中人們訴求同性的遊行過程，無論過去社會多麼封閉，在現在社會大家挺身而出表達自己的想法是讓人感動的...。


這一切都始於導演想向全世界介紹與媽媽的關係。母親是一個非常迷信的人，顯然她的女兒是同性戀是不允許發生的。在導演的青春期期間，那些掙扎和罪惡感吞噬了她的真實人格。幸運的是，導演比她自己想像的要強大。在過去的幾年中，開始活出自我。現在，終於可以用自己的方式講故事了。

It all began with how I want to tell the world about my relationship with my mom. She’s a very superstitious person and obviously her daughter being gay is not allowed to happen. During my puberty those struggle and the guilt keep swallow my real personality . Fortunately I'm stronger than I thought. In the past few years I started to feel like myself. And now I’m able to tell the story in my own way.
